Store shelves are going empty in the UK yet the government says "don't panic buy". I agree. You should not panic buy. You should have been buying all along like I was telling you to do, always keeping a full pantry and rotating your stock.
But if here you are with no extra stocks of food maybe a little panic isn't such a bad thing. Better than going hungy. As Jarad Dillian put it, "the first rule of panicking is to panic before everyone else does."
I read the UK headline as "damn right you will panic buy if you have any brains". Remember, nothing is confirmed until we see the government denying it.
