Rick Rule sounds like me

Noted metals billionaire Rick Rule was interviewed by George Gammon recently and here is a snippet of video from that interview which pretty much sums up what I have been saying for years about government and the potential for confiscation of gold going forward.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mb2aKKDcCqM&feature=youtu.be&t=668

The main points he made are:
  • He knows government is "venal" (i.e. corrupt in every way) so his view that confiscation attempts are unlikely is not related to that.  He knows they would steal from us to meet their goals if they could only get away with it.
  • However, there are 400 million firearms in a country of 330 million people.  That, and that alone is what will dissuade them from trying to rip us off.  My investment in several guns and many thousands of rounds of ammo are mocked and attacked by the left but regardless of what they think, that is the only real thing keeping them safe from being absolutely raped by the godverment they think is their friend.   Might makes right and you simply cannot wage street war with citizens that are armed; we are just too mighty.  It didn't even work in Vietnam and Korea against citizens who were very poorly armed or not armed at all.  How in the Hell do they think they stand a chance in the USA?
Now this thinking has limits.  For example in a battle at sea?  Forget it.  The people would have no chance.  Battleships would mow down private assets like it was nothing.  On the open battlefield duking it out mano a mano with military forces?  Again, that is for chumps.  Tanks and artillery and aircraft are highly effective anti-PAM (personnel and material) in those fighting arenas.  But in any kind of city or residential setting those weapons are of little to no use.  So much collateral damage would occur that the entire population would be up in arms.  Besides, when government paid killers go home after a long day's work they would have to wonder if their family would still be alive.  After all, when you bring the battlefield to the city, you bring it to your own family too.

Again, they know all of this which is why, like rust, they never sleep in their attempts to disarm people.  And it is also why they will have top pry my guns from my cold, dead hands.

What's the end game for society?

Because we are entering a period of turmoil many readers will look at the title of this and say, "more doom and gloom coming".  But that is wrong.  Yes, we have to unwind a shit load of scammy bullshit which is really going to be painful and yes, some if not many of the people will lose their lives in the process but our species will end up better off on the other side.

I will repeat a theme that I have mentioned in the past which is that the Star Trek vision will eventually win out.  People want Star Trek even if few can overcome their embarrassment in saying it out loud.  But if you forget all of the bullshit emotion and look at the vision you will see it is a very positive thing to both work for and hope for.  And right now I think we are still heading in that direction.  But I also think we need a big catastrophe to get people to work together for the common good instead of me me me.

All of this is in line with the swing back toward conservativism.  It's the liberals chasing the fake religion called paper money that are behind me, me, me.  Again, I did not say democrats.  Many liberals call themselves GOP.  A person is judged by their actions, not their political affiliations.  Most people have no idea just what heinous shit their government or religious heroes engage in.  How many 60s and 70s Catholics would admit that gay pedos had taken over their leadership?  Very few if any.  But that didn't stop it from being the truth.  Same is true for government regardless of demo or GOP.

So what is "Star Trek" society?  Well my view of this vision is where technology has advanced to where people have enough.  In the case of Star Trek they had taken it to an extreme given that replicators could make anything you want on demand in a few seconds.  And travel?  No need to covet the rich on that score in Star Trek because spacecraft and transporters take anyone wherever they want to go.  And computer aided health care took care of the sick without cost.  Under these circumstances, people no longer care about making money.  But neither do they live forever and so they want to do something useful and exciting and fulfilling with their lives.  They want to discover.  They want to learn.

Yeah, I know.  Basic space travel is a long way off for most people.  Warp drive, transporters and replicators much, much further so.  But look how much of the Star Trek vision is already real.  Ubiquitous handheld communications have been real for a long time.  Not just for the rich but for every ghetto rat these days as well.  Personal computing is pervasive and now we are even beginning to interact with our computers using nothing but voice.  That is Star Trek 101.  Touch screens are rapidly becoming commonplace and we will soon see interactive kiosks all over the place which work both on voice and touch screen user interfaces.  5G should make everyone connected all the time in ways that can only be imagined.

Additionally, we already have the means to feed everyone and the only reason there is hunger and want is because people still work for fake money.  If we worked for personal satisfaction instead of just trying to eat and have shelter and have healthcare in retirement then chasing fake money could go by the wayside.  Step 1 toward the real fulfillment of Star Trek vision is the death of fake money and eventually the death of the notion of wealth.  Who needs wealth if everything is free?

A lot of socialists would say that is their dream as well but there is a big difference.  Socialists want to take from those who work to give to those who don't. That is a form of enslavement and it will never work for any long period of time.  In Star Trek all the shared value is based on machine production controlled by AI instead of people having to do it.  In other words, Star Trek is powered by the enslavement of AI.

I won't live to see it but it will arrive much faster than many think possible.  Maybe as soon as 200 years.  Maybe less.  Technology growth is exponential (unless we are wasting our time killing each other) and the main aspect of interest of exponential functions is that it compresses the time between events.

Live long and prosper!

TikTok reversal shows that liberals are running out of time

Social media the politics of business.  In other words, they live and die for how well they read the crowd.  They exist to mirror back onto the herd that which the herd wants to see and hear.  Those who do not reflect the values of the herd will be short lived in politics and social media.

So we have to pay attention when we see big social media platforms like TikTok do a sudden reversal on a major action like intentionally cutting off a conservative anti-abortion group's access.  Yet that is exactly what just happened.  Tik Tok shut down their account for violation of TOS (which of course is to say, anything they don't like) but then realized it was a huge mistake by the backlash.  And so in a panic they turned it back on and then blamed it on "human error".  Well at least they didn't lie and call it a technical problem. Someone in authority made the decision but when it blew back on them they were either over ruled or displaced (fired) and the situation was reversed.

Imagine a conservative group getting this kind of treatment even 1 -2 years ago.  It would never have happened.  The loud minority, AKA liberals, would have swarmed the place saying that it was fair and just for the anti-abortion group to be silenced.  But those days are over now.  The conservatives used to be the silent majority.  We let the children have the run of the place for a while.  But enough is now too much and the silence is broken.  And it is going to only increase.  At some point the silent majority will become the violent majority if all the crazy shit that is happening in our world doesn't regain some sanity.  You can only put up with crazy people so long...

US fracking oil boom will soon go bust

I explained in this post something very important: that the US lack of inflation-driven rising prices was due to rapid onset of production of something that we could export that would offset the continued debasement (at the documented rate of 6.5% per annum) of our fake, confidence based paper currency.  And that thing is oilOn the back of fracking production we went from a huge net importer of oil to the world's 8th largest exporter.  It sounds great on its face but all it did was kick the inflation driven price increases down the road for two reasons:

1) all that new production was created using massive debt. Many hundreds of billions were spent like it was water only to create a resource with limited time production benefit.  Those who allowed this to happen always had access to the same model shown below.  They always knew they would get a rapid burst of production followed by an exponential collapse of that benefit.

I did not make this up; it came from scientists who work in the oil industry.  And now the evidence is building that peak fracking is upon us.  And once those fracking wells go into collapse, the production that they brought over the last years will be gone but the debt that was used to implement them will live on.  And so going forward not only will we not have that production to offset our monetary debasement, we will also have to deal with the service of all that new debt.  How do you think they will pay for that?  Yup, they will print it up out of thin air just like they always do.

This is not an opinion, just economics and math.  It cannot be escaped.  No amount of right headed leadership can fix it.  Eventually it will come home to roost.  Hope is not an intelligent strategy.

2) it sent economic signals to the markets that were in opposition to truth.  So a lot of bad decisions have been made given that rising prices were held back while the expansion of the money supply raged on. We will eventually go from "hey, prices are pretty stable for a long time" to "OMG, what's happening with the price of everything skyrocketing?".   The time of "Goldilocks inflation" is rapidly reaching an end and if you have any common sense whatsoever you will begin converting that fake paper money which you have worked so hard to acquire into G_d's money/constitutional money which is gold and silver bullion coins.

While nothing goes straight up or straight down, you absolutely cannot go bust holding gold and silver bullion coins.  But the odds are very high that the debt based paper assets that people think have value will in fact go bust at some point in the future because they are ALL dependent upon the fake, unbacked money supply whose value in trade depends 100% on the confidence of people who are getting quite tired of being conned.

Gold and silver are not con games.  They are the original money, the only money, the true money.  Good luck with anything else.
