"Innovating" with amorality and lies is not conservative behavior and neither is standing by and watching it when it is supposed to be your job to stop it happening. All of a sudden, the useless bureaucrats at the SEC are waking up again as if on a timer and they are beginning to talk tough about the bullshit that passes as earnings with many companies today.
One has to wonder did the SEC just finally figure this out or did they know it all along and then go along to get along? In other words, we have to ask the obvious question of whether the government "watchdog" agencies are incompetent and stupid or simply corrupt.
There is no third choice.
I leave it to the reader to decide what is true in this regard.
