One more quick post on the Bundy ranch standoff.

Again, I think if we cannot internalize some pretty simple lessons from the risks taken by the Bundy ranch patriots then we really don't deserve any freedom going forward.  Here is the summary article on the matter.  It's entitled:

Got that?  Is is clear enough?  Without the option to apply force (and that always means the option for deadly force when your opponent is as free and easy to kill people as the US government is), you have no freedom, no property rights, no NOTHING.  The only rights you have are the ones you are willing to stand up and defend against all attackers.

Ammon Bundy said in an interview. "The presence of weapons was needed in order to intimidate them."  And it had to be a credible threat.  If you stand up to the government without a credible threat (underpowered, lack of conviction to kill if needs be) then they will stare you down, and then order you to drop your weapons after they open fire.  It's already happened too many times to be denied.  They are now finding that the "crazy lady" who drove too near the police in DC ended up with multiple bullet wounds to the back.  She would not comply so they gunned her down.  She had no gun.  She injured nobody.  She had no bomb.  She simply failed to comply and that was the response she got. 

So back to the Bundys.  The BLM finally gave up when :

"nearly 1,000 supporters, included armed militamen from several western states, rallied on foot and on horseback with the family.  The four-hour standoff temporarily shut down Interstate 15 and ended when the bureau stopped rounding up cattle citing safety concerns and then agreed to return the cows."

Oh, so they did it for "public safety"??  BS!!! They did it for THEIR SAFETY.  Lions/LEOs are ambush hunters who pick on the weak.  They won't stand up for a fight that they might lose.  Initially the SOBs told the cowboys, OK we'll leave but we are taking the cattle that we already stole to date with us".  The cowboys apparently knew that it was a bluff and told them to f-off.  And so the BLM f-ed off, tails between legs looking like a the beaten little bitches that they truly are.

And so there's the lesson folks.  If you see injustice being done by the authorities, the only thing that works is to band together in large numbers with the credible threat of armed conflict and the bastards will run away.  I wish this was not the case but it's just a perfect example of the lions vs the water buffalo: ambush hunter against the herd.  As long as the herd doesn't stand up for itself with the credible threat of deadly force being used in resistance to tyranny, tyranny is going to not only survive, but also thrive and grow.  Tyranny is a disease and if elections can't fix it then the only remaining cure is the AR-15 modern sporting rifle plus lots of ammo in conjunction with people banding together around what is right.  You don't even need to pull the trigger if there are enough guns and resistance members.  The government jackboots only attack when they have 10:1 odds against their victims.

Oh yeah, Fvck you, BLM right along with the NSA!!
