France and Germany fly to Russia to try to strongarm Putin over Ukraine.

Here's the article.  My interpretation is of course different than the white wash given in the article but mine is right.  Read what it says: Merkel and Hollande are flying out to Russia with a new "peace plan" at the same time that the EU agrees to new sanctions against Russia.  Call me crazy but this doesn't sound too peaceful to me.  It sounds actually hostile.  Germany is used to pushing everyone in the EU around and demanding things be done the German way.  That crap is going to flop like Red Balloon in Russia.

The article says, "Given the grave deterioration in the crisis that has taken place since the turn of the year, the two leaders believe they must act if they are to prevent the conflict developing into a full-scale European war."

Don't discount this possibility too easily, especially since I knew that region and world war were likely going to eventually result as the US-run global debt Ponzi went into breakdown mode.  Not because I'm so smart, just because these are the lessons of history and I happened to do some research in that area.

People in the US might not be happy with the current economy but that is just because we are so spoiled by having enjoyed being the Eye of Horus on the global scam.  People in Russian got screwed with a devaluation of their currency.  People all over the world are in real hurting shape.  It will come home to roost in the US and we will be darned lucky not to get dragged into a global war that could easily turn nuclear if that's the only way that the disenfranchised countries of the global economy believe that oligopolistic power can be wrenched out of the corrupt hands of our leaders in D.C.

Back to the article, it also states that the EU is, during this visit by M+H to Russia, creating a new force that targets Russia!

"Nato defense ministers have agreed to more than double the size of the alliance's Response Force and create a new quick-reaction force of 5,000 troops to meet simultaneous challenges from Russia and Islamic extremists.

Nato Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said the decisions made during a daylong meeting at alliance headquarters in Brussels will "ensure that we have the right forces in the right place at the right time.""

So, all of a sudden the Ruskies are lumped in with the IS extremists?  I call BS!!  The US started the war in Ukraine by fomenting leadership change.  This was all planned in advance.  Don't let DC vilify Russia in order to cover up the economic collapse that is going to come whether or not we enter into a global war where many Americans, whipped up into nationalistic fervor by fucking bureaucratic liberal elitist assholes who sold us out long ago, will lose their lives for no good reason.  Putin's no saint but he's no worse than Obama and Bush.

I got news for EU: Russia is not going to be intimidated by 5000, 50,000 or 500,000 EU soldiers.  Russia believes that the US is out to take it over and so it will resist by all means necessary.  It is damned stupid to threaten Russia IMO.  Putin knows that the Bush doctrine gives us the go ahead for first nuclear strikes.
