- Politicians are for show. They are told what to say and do.
- The legal system is complicit.
- The money elite control the media and through it they control our thoughts and actions.
- They don't want a population of citizens who are well informed and who are capable of critical thinking. They want obedient labor.
- Carlin warned us to expect "increasingly shittier jobs" (like Wal-Mart) and which also includes the rise of the part time job thanks to Obamacare.
- Lower pay, longer hours, reduced benefits. Sound familiar? Carlin nailed it.
- Here is another one that Carlin nailed which has not played out yet but that the math demands that it will: "the vanishing pension that disappears the minute you go to collect on it". I wish the boomers understood that the money that they think is safe and sound in their pension account has been invested in the likes of GE, Facebook, Twitter, Banks, housing debt, government debt and all manner of other overpriced crap for which there will be no buyers when these assets have to be sold in order to make the requisite pension and annuity payments. The money simply is not there. It only exists on paper (AKA "market cap") as a result of a bidding war between leveraged buyers of assets using other people's money.
- They tell you what to believe, think, and buy using their media.
- The people continue to elect rich assholes who do not care about them at all. They worship Obama, Hillary, Bush, Clinton, etc. All manner of crazy crap happens under their "leadership" and the people don't seem to care.
Thanks George. You were ahead of your time on this score. Of course, I'd end this by hoping that you rest in peace but you were an atheist and so that is impossible. If your atheistic views are as correct as your views on money and government were then you are now completely oblivious to your current circumstance (thus, not "resting"). Of course, if your atheistic views proved to be incorrect, you are also not resting in any kind of peace. So I'll just leave it at thanks.
