More conservatism: murderer gets handslap sentence and applause for his actions.

The Boy Scouts of America has been struggling with the liberal pressure to accept gayness as goodness.  Today's news story shows why that might not be such a good idea.  In it, a man who was molested for the four years of his childhood scouting experience was triggered into revenge action long after the fact by the recent revelations about another serial homosexual pedo rapist, Jerry Sandusky.  Without the Sandusky trigger and the conservative herding wave which was behind those revelations leading to Sandusky's fall from prominence, Clark Fredericks probably would never have killed his former molester of many years past.

What I find incredible but still predictable about this story was the reaction of the courtroom audience.  This guy just gets done admitting that he went to the house of his childhood attacker long after he was in any immediate danger, confronted the man about his abuse and then slit the man's throat in cold blood.  He's as guilty of murder 1 as the day is long and everyone acknowledges it.  Yet as they haul him off to go serve his handslap sentence of 5-10 years in the slam (for murder folks!  He only got 5-10 for cold blooded, throat slitting murder!), the audience breaks out in applause for the murderer!!  Not for the punishment he received but in a public show of support for him.  Holy shades of conservative thinking!   Keep in mind that liberals will hardly let you defend yourself in real time much less condone revenge.  But conservatives think it is not only OK to defend yourself in real time from injustice but also to settle scores for past real injustice.  Oh yeah.  An eye for an eye baby!   Liberals would have focused on the throat slitting and paid little attention to the homosexual rape.  Conservatives see it the other way around.

Again for me personally as a libertarian, I don't care what people do with their lives as long as they don't cross my personal line of sovereignty.  So this is not an anti gay rant.  And I quickly acknowledge that not all gay men are pedos.  But if we are honest, if the leader is homosexual then all those little scouts are probably a big sexual temptation that a hetrosexual man would not have to fight.  The Chinese have a saying, "Don't tempt an honest man".  I think it is just common sense to follow that advice.
