I thought this video was instructive on why the true fundamentals behind share prices moves are unknown and unknowable.

Bottom line, nothing matters until it does, and then, boy does it ever.  This would not be the case if we had a real economy based on real money!  This is where the great disconnect with most people is.  When they hear my long time mantra that the true fundamentals behind share price moves are unknown and unknowable, even to the CEOs and highest levels of elite, they always try to argue the other side.  But what was supposedly good for share prices at one time becomes supposedly bad for them at others and nobody ever bothers to try to explain this obvious truth with their misguided theories.

If we had a real economy based on real money (instead of fake money + debt) then fundamentals WOULD matter.  But it's all a faith based deal now, one big CON game being run by CON men and so the mood of the herd controls it all.  As long as the herd believes in all the lies then it plays along hoping beyond hope that maybe it's different this time; maybe a Ponzi scheme will find some way to pretend and extend forever even though history shows that has never happened before.  And when the herd curtails the use of chocolate you can be sure it is a sign of worsening mood.  You can see this in the share price of supposedly unassailable Hershey's (HSY) which just tested, broke down, and is now backtesting long term support from below.




I've said it before and I'm saying it again.  We ain't seen bad yet, but its coming because at the end of the day, YES, conservative principles DO matter.  They are what drives a sustainable economy.  The true laws of economics can only be distorted by the use of fake money, they cannot be rescinded or changed.  It can appear otherwise for long stretches of time but only so long as the debt can be swept under the run.  Interest rates that are rising without the permission of the fed are a serious indication that the herd is about ready to stampede.  Maybe it will last into the fall before serious selling begins.  Nobody knows the timing of when a person will die but you do know when they are long in the tooth.  This market is very long in the tooth.
