Legalization of pot is growing world wide. Multiple countries in South America are doing it. Colorado state has done it. Washington state is doing it. The only thing that is left is to start an exchange and create an ETF like they do for coffee, soy and pork bellies. They can give the ETF a ticker symbol of HEMP and when they do, folks, buy it with both hands because what the world has shown us is that poor people feel better if they have at least something nice. Why else would so many people who can hardly afford rent be sure to have their cell phone and over priced data plan?
Again, I like movies because I think those who make the best ones have uncommon vision. Vin Diesel's big breakout moving was called "Pitch Black". It is a must see sci fi classic for anyone that way bent. In any case, the movie starts off by crashing the space craft of Vin and some other characters onto a hot desert planet. They lose almost everything in the crash. One of the characters whose name is Paris is a bit of a culture snob. In his remaining personal effects are high end booze and cigars. One of the scenes shows him relaxing under an umbrella in the heat of the sun sipping some booze and puffing away. When one of the characters named Zeke asks him "Comfy up there"?, Paris responds with, "Amazing how you can do without the essentials of life, so long as you have the little luxuries.".
And so I will dub this the "Paris Effect". If you ever see an ETF called "HEMP" or "WEED" or "POT", buy that sucker with both hands as it will certainly balloon to mania heights before getting saturated and needing to be taken out like trash. In fact, I will begin to do a weekly scan for ETFs that are going through the registration process. This is that much of a sure thing if ever a sure thing was.
By the way, legalization of pot is not a liberal move like most people think. Many associate pot with hippies and thus believe that legalization of it must be liberal. But criminalization of your life is actually a liberal, nanny state trend. REAL conservatives (AKA libertarians) do not try to control you. They (we) figure that your life is yours to live as you like just as long as you don't negatively affect me while you do it. The Godfather of modern libertarianism is Ron Paul and he has always been against the war on drugs because he knows that a war on anything is really just a racket. Just like Smedley Butler told us it was.
