Cops murder innocent boy. Maybe we should take their guns away.

Each time some asshole who is not a police officer kills someone with a gun, Obama and the socialists use the occasion to try to sway public opinion towards more gun control with the end goal of course being complete disarmament.
  • I'll go on record again as saying there will be no disarmament for me.  If they want my guns they can take them by force if it ever comes to that but I will never hand them over because I know that this is the last stupid move by a people before they are effectively enslaved by governments.  I don't care who reads this because what I am saying is right.  I pity the poor fool whose job it is to come to my house to demand my guns after some useless bureaucrat determines that everyone has to turn in their guns.  It's just not going to happen without a fight, period.  It's a fight I certainly would not win but that's how it's going to be if they take it there.  If the founders of the US never took a stand that held personal risk then the US could never have risen and provided good lives to so many over the decades.  Freedom, it turns out, is not free and as long as the government knows that a significant number of people simply will not roll over to their oppressive force, the government is held at bay from enslaving the population.
Having said that, where is the government outrage and calls for reforms when police murder innocent children in a hail of gunfire like the one reported on here?  In these cases do they stop and wonder if it makes sense for their little pea brained, morals-free enforcers to carry deadly weapons around?  No, of course not.  The issue is always treated as a one off event by the government, not part of some larger trend that must be dealt with by policy change.  In the past these cops wouldn't even be prosecuted.  They would get hurried behind the protective wall of the Policeman Benevolent Assn (AKA police unions)  and then 2-4 weeks later of paid leave when the herd had calmed down they would whisper that the killing was within departmental guidelines and that a full and fair self investigation had been completed and the cops were cleared of all wrong doing.

It happened so many times that the cops actually began to believe that they were above prosecution.  Well, as I predicted so many times well in advance in these pages, not no more.  The waning prosperity of a credit driven economy has made the disenchanted masses begin to look at their situation a bit more critically and conservative political activism is on the rise.  Liberals might think that anything the state does is OK but conservatives have a simpler, non-relativistic understanding of right and wrong based on rule of law.  Thus grey is out and black and white is in.  Murder is murder no matter if the state does it or the bum in the street or the drug dealer.  And since I stated that the pendulum had begun to swing conservative again we have seen a rapid increase of scrutiny in police shootings and yes, even murder charges being brought against officers.

We should expect this trend to not only continue but to increase.  As a result you will find that police are becoming more helpful, less self centered, more useful to society again.  It took years to get to the depths of darkness which is the current state of police departments across the country but the swing back to conservatism should happen much faster, just like stock market declines.  Stair steps up to higher levels of arrogance and corruption, elevator back down to Earth with the rest of us mere mortals.
