You can't legislate hate or insanity.

Following the recent college shootings, Obama is out again with his tired message of more gun legislation.  Tired I mean because he's tired of sending messages that the herd is ignoring.  In fact, no amount of legislation will stop hateful or insane people from buying guns and it is childish to think that you can.  Thus, any new laws will just be more work to try to pry the guns out of the hands of the non hateful, non insane conservatives like me.

In fact, the Oregon gunman owned all his guns legally.  How could anyone stop him from suddenly expressing his insanity?  You can't.  And Ben Carson is going down the wrong path saying that he wants to identify crazy people before they do anything: "Obviously, there are those who are going to be calling for gun control... that’s not the issue. The issue is the mentality of these people.” Instead of focusing on guns, we should be looking for “early warning clues” to prevent incidents such as this one.

Holy minister of pre-crime Batman, how do I get this job?  With this kind of power, anyone who I don't like is suddenly deemed "likely crazy".  Thus I, as a government figure, can just point at a person and tell the cops to raid his house under suspicion of insanity.  Well if they did that to me there would be a shoot out and then the authorities would say, "see, he was crazy, he didn't just submit to our royal authority like a good little slave".  So no, Ben Carson, you cannot see it coming reliably and no Ben Carson, I will not give up my rights and freedoms in any way in order to submit to a pre-crime screening or agenda.

History shows that it is completely insane to allow government to have guns where everyone else is disarmed because that never ends well for the morons who allow it.  Eventually government screws the people, eventually the people get angry about it and without guns in the hands of the people, the people either die quickly and uselessly or they have to flee their homesteads and homelands in search of a kinder master.  PLEASE keep in mind that despots have killed billions over the decades.  BILLIONS.  So if we lose 500 ppl per year in a population of 300+ million I see that as very low loss rate.  Those are the numbers of it, sorry in advance to people who cannot do simple math.  GOVERNMENTS UNJUSTLY KILL far more people each year than all crazy gun bearing idiots combined.  So by their own logic, before we get rid of guns I think we need to get rid of government because it will save more lives (as if they give two shits about people dying).

The only way this works is if everyone takes their own personal responsibility for their own personal safety.  We should have mandatory gun training from our youth and then encourage open carry.  The first shot that rings out in a school would bring 20 other guns to the scene.  Yes there will still be the occasional crazy and yes there will be a small rise in accidental shootings but under my plan no way does anyone get away with killing 9+ individuals in one sitting.
