Presidential thought experiment.

Let's say you were the current president of the USA and that you had a socialist bent.  Not because you give a damn about the people.  Not because you care a hoot about income inequality (which has, for the record, only soared under Obama).  No, let's say you only care to the degree that your handlers, masters and teleprompter / puppet string holder says you care.  Let's say you have this bent, OK?  And let's further say that you think that any words that emit from your pie hole are instantly the law of the land.  You might call them presidential declarations, signing orders or whatever but pretty much  you think congress doesn't matter anymore and neither do existing laws if they get in the way of the agenda you have agreed, for a price dearer than words can describe I'm sure, to push the socialist agenda.

Let's also say that your administration has already been caught using the IRS as a political tool whose goal is to pick liberal winners and stall or thwart conservatives essentially relegating them to loser status.  Again, all hypothetical, right?  IF you were such a "president", what would you be willing to do in order to buy votes?  Would you give out free cell phones under the guise of everyone needing to be safe?  Would you extend unemployment benefits endlessly to those who have just flat out decided that working to eat is simply too much trouble?  Would you allow ridiculous amounts of obviously fraudulent disability claims based on hard to diagnose symptoms?

Yes, you would do all of the above.  At least if your name was Obama.  But would you also use your techno-thugs at the IRS to "accidentally" overpay "Earned Income Credits" to the poor?  Apparently, if your name is Obama then yes you would, and to the tune of $13 billion.  Anyone who thinks that a bribe, errr, overpayment of this magnitude was an accident is a complete imbecile.  Waste, fraud and abuse are not accidents; they are in fact felonies and bordering on treason.  The IRS can do math and this was obviously a deliberate overpayment. 

So why come clean about it now?  Well, it's like I have been writing: the liberal/socialist worm is turning.  The IRS now knows that co-conspirator Lois Lerner is being subpoenaed by congress over IRS gate.  They know that congress has effectively ruled that she waived her 5th amendment rights by first stating that she was not guilty of any crime before taking the 5th.  As a result she has been held in contempt by the house.  She already made it clear that she would roll over on her co-conspirators if she were given immunity.  They probably want to get out in front of it and try to convince people that it was some kind of "simple $13 billion mistake".

What I said was going to happen is in fact happening.  The best way to catch a big fish is to put a smaller fish that is too small to eat anyhow on the hook and let it wiggle in the water.  Government is one big organized criminal cartel whose maintenance requires unending flows of cash.  That is no longer possible now that the money supply is beginning to shrink as a result of the collapsing credit which marks of the end of a 100 year debt Ponzi.  Expect scandal after unending scandal to unfold in the years ahead as the global debt Ponzi unwinds in locked step with the rise of conservatism.
