The war on freedom and self-determination is ending.

We humans like to live on a pendulum which moves left and right at the speed of life over time.  The last 30 years saw the gross concentration of power and the formation of the liberal global police state/nanny state that was fueled by fiat currency and fractional reserve banking.  The rise of fake money represented a war on honesty, a war on human labor, and a war on freedom and privacy.  These conditions were fantastic for the liberal elite and their power grew the whole time.  But the power was as fake and as temporary as the money was and now that the credit is peaking the big peak, it will unwind big time.

Long before there was even a hint of it in the news, I predicted that peak credit would result in an end to the war on everything.  Today's article shows that the seeds of this have already been planted for the end of the corrupt war on drugs.  While drugs are not good and while they do result in a lot of ruined lives, the fault for the problem lies with the individual.  The war on drugs (and everything else) does not stop problems in aggregate.  In fact, it can be argued that it causes many more problems not the least of which is the hyper concentration of power into the hands of a liberal few who can then point at any single person to attack with middle of the night no knock warrants where the dog is immediately shot and the victims are often completely innocent citizens.  In other words, it becomes a weapon of psychological control over the people who are sent messages that the police state runs their lives.  The war on everything is just police state intimidation gone wild.

The truth is that you can't save everyone in society and it is foolish to even try.  Let people make their own decisions and then suffer their own consequences or reap their own rewards.  Anyone who wants to use drugs should be allowed to do so as long as it doesn't step on the rights of someone else.  Society will self-limit this activity if left to act freely and without state intervention or overlord style control.

Of course, the time for ideological debate on this matter is long past.  The liberal police state/nanny state lovers have been in control for a long time thanks to the existence of a fake money supply from which it could fund its operations. The cost of maintaining a full time police/nanny state is extreme.  We have not been paying the bill in real time; we have been paying for it with every form of credit and debt imaginable by "financial innovators" (con men).  Mark and Patsy are now waking up to the con.  The liberals are about to take an "unexpected" smack down in the US elections because the pendulum is swinging right.  When it happens the message will again ripple across the country:liberalism is in decline, the new winners will either be conservative or at least a lot less liberal than they have been in the past 30 years.  The change isn't coming because those in charge want it to.  It will come because the stench of putrid debt will have become unbearable and impossible to ignore any longer.  Deflation will suck the power away from the borrow-and-spend, liberal over-consumption crowd and hand it over to the produce-and-save conservatives.
