I don't think this is advisable.

Now that the redacted Mueller report is out, it's pretty clear to say that rabid liberals are overplaying their hand.  Instead of just letting it go quietly and moving onto something more credible to attack the Trump administration with, the leftists are just digging a deeper and deeper hole for 2020.  A good example can be found at this link where the author leads off with the following:

Really the best day since he got elected,” said Kellyanne Conway, the president’s counselor, about a day on which 400 pages dropped into the public’s lap describing relentless presidential misconduct and serial engagements between his campaign and a foreign actor. The weeks-long lag between Attorney General William Barr’s announcement of Robert Mueller’s top-line findings and the release of the Mueller report itself created space for an alternate reality in which the document released today might give rise to such a statement. But the cries of vindication do not survive even the most cursory examination of the document itself.

No, Mueller did not find a criminal conspiracy between the Trump campaign and Russia, and no, he did not conclude that President Trump had obstructed justice. But Mueller emphatically did not find that there had been “no collusion” either. Indeed, he described in page after damning page a dramatic pattern of Russian outreach to figures close to the president, including to Trump’s campaign and his business...".

OK, so the bottom line according to the leftists is that Trump is guilty as Hell but his team has now had the chance, thanks to that SOB Barr, to create a magical "alternate reality" in which Trump is not guilty on all counts.  But the best part is that after conceding no criminal conspiracy and no conclusion of obstruction, the left hangs their hat on the fact that there was not a finding of "no obstruction" either.

Yep, that's it.  That's the smoking gun.  I think Rachel Maddow just came a little.  While hardly worth the time to refute, I just have to say a few things.
  1. If anyone has an alternate reality, it's the liberal left.  Even the influential liberal rag "The Atlantic" has been, for some time now, warning about the liberal delusion that has formed against Trump.  If The Atlantic is saying it, centrist dems are thinking it.  And centrists far outweigh extremists in any human population.  Don't mistake "loud" with numbers.  In a quiet room one crying baby can make a Hell of a ruckus.
  2. The narrative has now turned from requiring "guilt" to needing "vindication" or being declared "innocent".  Yup, per the liberal credo, if at first you don't succeed, move the goal posts.  I don't think that there is any person on this planet who is completely innocent.  And that's why the legal system doesn't test for innocence.  It only tests for guilt.  You are either guilty in the eyes of the law or not.  Nothing else matters.  It's like knowing the rules about US elections up front and then being angry later on that Trump played the better game in the electoral college and then challenging his Presidential legitimacy because Hillary supposedly won the popular vote.  Never mind that lots of illegals and dead people have been caught voting in liberal states.  "Trump should have lost in 2016 because Hillary might have won the popular vote" said the sore losers back then and today's leftist comments about the Mueller report are more of same.  By the logic of fools like those at lawfareblog.com, all of us are likely guilty simply because nobody has proclaimed us to be innocent.   Stupid is as stupid does.  If being immoral and causing collateral damage in the pursuit of wanted criminals were a crime, Obama would be serving 20 life sentences right now for collateral damage done at middle eastern weddings and funerals during drone strikes.  He's a soulless murderer, that is for sure.  But that is not guilt under the law and nothing Trump has done can measure up against Obama's murderous droning of foreign national noncombatants.  When are they going to reclaim the fake Nobel peace prize they gave that fucker?
  3. Russians reaching to to Trump's team during a major election is par for the course just as we meddle in other people's elections and even topple other people's governments with our antics.  It is not against the law or even unusual for public officials in power to be pursued by foreign governments.  In fact it is expected at all levels.  For example, when I was in the USAF I held a top secret clearance because I had to enter into the WSA (Weapons Storage Area - nukes) at Andersen AFB on Guam.  With such clearance and access to sensitive materials, the USAF recognized that people in my role were a potential target for foreign intelligence.  Thus, I was advised that if anything ever happened that could result in me being compromised including but not limited to cheating on spouse, being in overwhelming debt or any other circumstance that I should report it to base legal ASAP.  In fact, they even advised that if I found myself approached by a beautiful woman from the local population of Guam who was likely "out of my league" that I should immediately suspect her and at least report the incident so they could quietly investigate and do background checks on the woman.  Bottom line is that it is not only not a crime to have foreign operatives reach out to certain US targets but it is also completely expected to occur.  And unless there is reciprocation and laws broken in the encounter, no guilt is possible from this activity.  And even where there is apparent reciprocation, nothing was ever done to Obama about it.  If Trump ever got saying these words to Putin the left would be all panties in a wad about it.  The motto of the left is "Do as I say, and not as I do; the rules aren't for me, they apply just to you.".
My message to the moderate left is this: go out of your way to police your lunatic fringe if you want ANY hope of winning in 2020.  You are not going to bring Trump up on charges!! Not for anything.  Even with a smoking gun.  We didn't bring Obama up on war crimes and so there is literally nothing Trump could do that half of the country would allow his prosecution and or removal of office over.

Let me say it one more time for people who simply cannot understand what I am saying: in the very, very, very unlikely case that you come up with some dirt on Trump that is worthy of prosecution, you will still not be able to prosecute him for it and if you persist in trying, the right will rise up and put you down.  I don't want that outcome and I would not advocate for it.  I am simply doing what I am pretty damned good at doing which is observing the real world facts and extrapolating the future from it.  There is simply nothing that you  can say that will bring Trump down without starting a civil war, and my side not only has all the guns and ammo, but we are proficient in their use.  I'm pretty sure that in any civil war, 5% of the liberal casualties would be due to learning how a gun works.  Not kidding.
