I have been quite vocal in the past on what stupid, useless platforms Twitter and Facebook are. In the case of twitter, all it does is allow stupid people to blurt out comments to the whole world without due consideration. All twitter has done is allow what used to be passing thoughts to actually pass as thoughts. The platform is at least 50 % responsible for the divisiveness that America is experiencing today.
And facebook is too often haunted by self centered people who think the world gives a damn about what they say and what their lunch looked like yesterday. The problem with facebook isn't the platform so much as how it is encouraged to be used, for personal bragging, etc. How many capital bld protesters got a call from the FBI based on them bragging about and actually posting pictures of their behavior? MANY.
That said, you can tell the rest of the world is rapidly losing respect and confidence in the USA by how it behaves. For example, Uganda just banned Facebook and Twitter citing their part in election manipulation. The guy in the vid has it just right. He is thinking like other countries. The US looks weak and pathetic to other nations right now.
Sooner or later this will show up as devalued currency. After all, what good is the full faith and confidence in a country that you don't have faith in confidence in?
The value of fake money is a con game. Its spending power (i.e. finding the next greater fool to trade it to), is 100% dependent on them having confidence in the con. The less confident they are of it, the more risk will be perceived in accepting it. And if they have to take risk they will need to be compensated for doing so by charging higher prices.
