In a truly perfect example of what a bunch of asshole criminals work in big government, the corrupt government of Iran hanged to death some fool that called himself the Sultan of Coins. Essentially, he was buying up gold coins in the sure and certain knowledge that the government money was worthless and fake. As said fake money has lost 70% of its purchasing power this year under the weight of US sanctions (supposedly), this guy's stock went up.
The only problem was that his success was used as a scapegoat by the government of "the evil shorts" who are supposedly responsible for the collapse of the fake paper money back toward its intrinsic value of zero. The Iranian government vilified him for buying gold and then profiting from the sale of it after his understanding of the lack of value of fake paper money was proven to be correct.
Big government did not like that and so they ran him through their corrupt monkey court of saving face and then murdered him.
Oh sure, the victim broke the corrupt law by not being a registered dealer of gold. But why does one have to register for such a thing?? Simply so that government can pick winners and losers. If you are not connected, you are denied a license while friends of the royalty get preferential licensing treatment. It is zero different than the protection racket of 1930s USA organized mobsters, and everyone in the Iranian government who was a part of this action is guilty of murder.
That said, what was this fool thinking? If he was smart enough to figure out that the government money was fake he should have been smart enough to figure out that the government has no moral authority at all and is only run by a bunch of filthy dogs. He should have surrounded himself with a security force with orders to shoot first and then ask questions from a nonextradition country. Instead, he just seems confused and bewildered at how he is getting railroaded. I guess that makes him the Sultan of Simpletons or the Sultan of Stupidity as much as anything else.
