Nothing has changed about my "conservative wave" thesis.

Despite the fact that the dems gained political power, I see this as headline stuff, not really the economy.  IF you want to see the real conservative movements, look at what the corporations are saying.  United Airlines is clearly telling us they are going to a more conservative management style going forward.  They are starting to parrot the words of conservatives like "risk management", "black swan" and "anti-fragile".  The key result will be a reduction in leverage.  The American consumer will see it as a reduction in service.  Planes will be smaller, more packed, and more expensive going forward.  Today everyone can afford to fly but going forward air travel will again become a thing that requires some financial wherewithal.

This is but one example of the coming austerity that we face as a nation.

Is your idea that the conservative wave starts PRIOR to the economic collapse, because people around that time have already started to suspect that the money is fake? I was kind of having trouble understanding why the government would waste so much money during a conservative wave.

The government will be the very last organization to show any conservancy. It's the herd that is changing first. Government will follow not because it wants to but because there will be no other choice.

Americans can always be counted on to do the right thing…after they have exhausted all other possibilities.
