A lesson in bureaucratic lies and scams.

For many years India has been trying to paperize the nation's gold.  They've tried everything under the sun to get Indian citizens to hand over their gold and accept fake unbacked paper notes and promises instead.  But the Indian people have gotten fucked so many times in the past that they are not biting these days.

The Indian government is so desperate to incentivize people to stay in their fake money con that they are rapidly ping ponging between bad cop and good cop.  When playing bad cop, the government assumes all citizens are criminals and then takes extreme measures to make sure everyone is paying into their corrupt system.  The most recent bad cop move was to eliminate the 500 and 1000 Rupee notes in a sudden overnight move.  People were told to take any cash on hand to a processing center for conversion from the old fake money to new fake money.  During the processing process, anyone with more cash on hand than the government thought they should have would be charged with a crime like money laundering, tax evasion, etc.  And those who could not account for the cash they had on had without being accused simply had to try to spend it on the local economy as quickly as possible so that it would not expire worthless in their hands.

That kind of move is like poking your citizens in the eye with a sharp stick.  And I'm sure that the government made some money in the deal.  But at the same time, it made the people even more aware of the dire straits that its government is in.  You don't make moves like that unless there is a systemic risk.  And making that kind of move only pushed more of the people's wealth into money which the government cannot just cancel at a whim - gold and silver.

Now that government has wiped out the tax evaders and the money launderers, it has already blown through whatever it gained by that power plan and is back out looking for spare change under the couch cushions.  So now they are trotting out the fake good cop play.  In this article we see that the Indian government trying to trick the people into exchanging their gold with fake government paper promises so that the people can earn interest on the gold trade that would be happening with their stored gold.  The government is telling them to turn in their gold and benevolent government will smelt it and purify it and mark it for the benefit of the owner of said gold.

Read that article carefully because it has all the telltale signs of the typical elitist scam.  You promise something for nothing, but only if the victim will first give something of value up.  It's like the phone scams that tell you they will give you a free vacation if you only pay an upfront $200 fee that covers processing and taxes.  Of course, once you send the money in all you ever get back is a worthless fake certificate for a non-existent cruise or hotel stay.

Additionally, you obfuscate the point with 50 cent elite speak language which is the language of con men.  And in fact this is how all government scams work. Government cannot cheat the people without the people agreeing to it.  So government hides what it is doing using sophistry, doublespeak and just plain old flat out lies.

My translation is in red below:
Mumbai: India will hold a top ministerial meeting early this week on giving gold the status of an asset class, a move that seeks to reduce the dependence on imports by boosting the circulation of an estimated 25,000 tonnes of the metal lying locally in jewellery or coin forms.
India will create a new legal scam which attempts to paperize gold for the purpose of stemming the rise of inflation by stealing as much of the 25000 tons of gold running around in the Indian economy as possible.

The status of an asset class would give Indians the opportunity to capitalise their gold and make it as liquid as the stock of a listed company. The government is working on having an India gold delivery standard, similar to gold that’s certified by the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA), the world’s standard setter for the metal. Residents holding gold jewellery or coins would be able to get these melted into 995 or 999 purity bars by accredited refiners, who would issue a certificate to them bearing the title of goods, purity and serial number embossed on the bars, which can be traced to their owner.
This new scam will allow fools to exchange their physical gold for paper promises of gold which can then be held in a vault that is beyond public inspection for "security" reasons and then gambled with by others in order to turn a potential profit for the gamblers, some of which might trickle down by accident to the gold owner.  But don't worry, if you ever want your gold back you can request it and they will return it to you, just like Nixon returned the gold to those who held dollar.

The certificate will be transferable like a share certificate or a property deed. When the price rises, a resident can simply transfer the certificate and capitalise the gold, much like they do when a share price rises. S/he could also deposit the gold bars with banks under the Gold Monetisation Scheme and earn interest instead  ..
Don't worry, your gold will be safe and sound.  Even though the government recently attacked its citizens with the surprise demonetization of 500 and 1000 Rs notes, they are here this time to help because they are just good people working for the Indian citizenry out of the goodness of their hearts.
This is such an obvious scam that only an idiot would participate. I mean, come on.  Your girlfriend cleans you out one day when you are at work and then a year later after she has spent it all she comes back wanting to make up and promising to be very lovey if you just give her all your gold.  She will of course count it for you and then give you a receipt and if you ever want it back, just ask!

That is the essence of what is happening here.  It's clear to me that Indian people love gold so much because they know their government is just as corrupt as a bucket of warm shit.  There is about zero chance that any significant number of people fall for this joke of a scam but as far as I am concerned those few who do fall for it are going to deserve the backstabbing they eventually receive for having believed in even one word that emits from the pie hole of corrupt big government.

Trump winning streak continues

Like it or not, Trump gets things done.  Or at least works on them.  Even if you don't want him to.  What I'm trying to say is you have to admit  the guy is energetic and persistent.  He doesn't roll over for the status quo.  He might be a showman but he's a real deal fighter as well.  Again, this is not always a good thing because if you are aiming at the wrong target then being a good shot is not a virtue.  But if you look at the evidence, it's becoming a sucker's bet to put money down against Trump.

After beating Hillary in the elections, he's now beaten the dems in the post election conspiracy to bring him down with lies and false accusations.  That was it folks.  You just saw the dems shoot both barrels of the shotgun that they had been loading for a long time.  Unfortunately for them, Trump dodged both shot patterns and is now immediately back on the attack to press forward with his agenda.  The dems are now staring a raging bull down with their weapon now empty.  And where is Hillary in the 2020 running?  Yeah, nowhere.  She's done.  In fact she will do very little supporting of other dems because nobody wants her on their team now.  Bitch done lost and the herd has moved on.  Just like I said it would.

Almost without blinking, ninja Trump is now looking to counterattack on several powerful fronts:
  1. The DHS chief that would not stand up for stronger immigration control under the umbrella of homeland security is now out on her useless ass.  The news reports that they aren't sure if she left or was forced out, but really, where is the confusion?  The news came suddenly and it came after she was called onto the carpet in Trump's office.  It happened just after Trump's enemy's defenses had collapsed.  The nation is either laughing at or very upset with the dems for playing RICO Coup with Trump and losing.  No, there is no doubt that the sudden departure of Kirstjen Nielsen as DHS head was Trump's idea and not hers.  They made nice-nice for the press but that was an easy deal for Trump to seal.  All he had to do was point to his renewed public support with the collapse of the Collusion Coup and tell Nielsen she could part in good graces or she could part in pieces.  Her choice.  She chose.  And without skipping a beat he installed Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Kevin McAleenan to serve as "acting" DHS secretary.  If I were Trump that "temporary" position would be permanent.  In other words, I would concentrate my power over all the agencies and then have that guy focus on draining the DHS swamp.  One of the first things I would do would be to reduce DHS presence at airports.  I would go back to metal detectors instead of cataract millimeter wave (microwave) full body scanners.  I would hire some Israeli profilers to point to which people to engage in an extra pat down.  And I would increase air marshal support on airplanes.  In fact I would post a uniformed air marshal on every flight, paid for by reducing DHS morons in the airport.  the Trump DHS would make people feel free again, not drive constant unwarranted fear into the herd like the liberals have been doing for a few decades now.  Even dyed in the wool libs would appreciate a less gestapo DHS.
  2. Trump looking to stack the deck on the federal reserve.  Powell wants to quantitatively tighten and raise interest rates now that it's on Trump's watch hoping Trump will get the blame for a collapsed economy.  Trumps new federal reserve picks are Cain and Moore.  Moore is getting close scrutiny and will probably not make the cut.  But Cain will, and then Trump will throw another crony in there to pump the Ponzi some more, thus kicking the can down the road.
  3. Trump is looking to stack the deck in the Supreme Court.  Scalia died and Trump filled his sport with Gorsuch, who some are calling a Scalia Clone (i.e. conservative).  Kennedy retired and Trump shoved Kavanaugh in his place (another conservative).  The dems let Gorsuch in pretty easily but they went for the jugular again with Kavanaugh.  And again they lost.  I'm seeing a pattern here.  Dems jump the shark, dems get embarrassed again badly in the court of public opinion.  Next up is ancient and ailing Ginsburg, a powerful liberal on SCOTUS.  She is 86 years old and just had lung cancer surgery.  Some idiots are saying she is dead but that is just dumb. When she dies, the dems will give her a very public hero's burial, the kind that Scalia did not get, simply to remind people that she was a liberal.  You hardly heard anything about Scalia's funeral.  Mark my words, they will treat Ginsberg death like the death of Ronald Reagan, calling her a patriot and a hero.  Yes, they are that desperate for attention and yes they actually are that deluded that they think it will make any difference in Trump's ability to put yet another conservative in there.  At this point even liberals are starting to no longer be fooled by the liberal show.  They will see the dems grandstanding on Ginburg's grave and they will not be amused.

A day in Venezuela

The USA is obviously going to have a debt crisis at some point.  If you don't understand this then there is nothing I can do for you.  By ignoring the freight train headed toward us you have already chosen your own fate.

I mean, think about it.  We were 10 trillion in debt when Bush 2 left office, 20 trillion in debt when Obama left office, and now 22 trillion in debt after 3 years of Trump.  The slope of debt acquisition has not changed since 2010 and in fact, like any Ponzi, the slope can and must only get steeper.  Failure to keep the slope at this upward angle or higher will trigger all the players in the game to sell out and go dark.  They all know this is a Ponzi and they all intend to stay in it as long as they can.  But once its time to bail, they will bail.

There is no easy coming back from what you see above.  There is hard, and there is harder.  Eventually every debt crisis turns into a currency crisis because as the interest rates eventually rise, the debt must be rolled over at ever higher rates.  Imagine having even 10 trillion of debt at 6 or 7 percent.  That's 600 or 700 billion per year in interest.  If we needed to borrow massively in order to prop up our lifestyle without this interest burden, what will we have to do once that burden is present?  The simple answer is to print more.  But as we print more, creditors are going to need higher interest rates to roll over each subsequent tranche of debt.  At some point they will just stop loaning us money and then the printing press will be all that is left.

And so the people of Venezuela are learning the hard way.  I suggest that everyone read that link and look at what has happened to the people over there.  Their lives have turned into a slavery existence where their daily labor has been reduced to near worthlessness by the economic collapse.  People who used to live middle class lives now live in abject poverty, wondering if the water or the electricity will be working when they wake up in the morning.

As  I have said in the past, I am fresh out of pity and sorrow for people in this condition.   After much thinking about it  I have come to the conclusion that they got what they deserved for being ignorant about what money is and how it works.  They outsourced the management of their lives to con men, and the con men have now effectively enslaved the whole country. The elite still have all the good stuff except now they can hire other people's labor for FAR less than it used to cost.  The sin of the people is that they were conned into accepting fake money as if it were real.  And then once they figured it out there was nothing could be done about it because they already made the other huge sin of allowing government to disarm them.  So now they have two despot governments battling to control the enslaved people.

I'm sure many in their ranks tried to raise the alarm for the people early on. But the heat was brought up slowly and the sheeple did the frog thing and failed to jump out of the pot.  Instead, they welcomed in their new slave masters who promised more and more free shit.  When will people learn that government is nothing more than organized crime?  You cannot trust big government.  It has never worked out for those doing the trusting.  Not once, ever.  They are in it with the elite to enslave the masses with their fake money gaymes (sic).

If you are not planning for what is coming, how can you expect anyone to have any pity for you?  By failing to recognize the danger and by failing to plan around it and by saying nothing as the big government enslaves you, you are asking and even begging to become enslaved.  I guess when the shit hits the fan you can always cower in your own shadow having no gold, no silver, no food and no guns.  You can always beg the benviolent (sic) government for a crust of bread and some expired meat. But when it all comes down, just remember, we did this.  We did it with our relative collective silence.  Well, let's just be honest about this.  I have not been silent.  At ALL.  Have you?  Are you talking to your friends about it?  If not, why?  Because you are afraid of being called a conspiracy theorist and thus being mocked despite the fact that the data is slapping us all in the face?

I think this describes most people.  And so after very careful consideration, this is nothing more than the modern grasshopper and ants story.  Why should the ants have any pity on those who ushered in the collapse with things like voting in AOC and the socialists?  In fact, quite the contrary.  I hope things are very, very hard for those who did this to us.  How else will people learn that fake paper money and corrupt fractional reserve lending always leads to the same outcome?

READ the article I linked above.  This is not some theory.  This is happening.  The US is a bigger economic flywheel but it is far from immune.  Thinking it can't happen here is not thinking at all.  It will happen here, not if but when.  And that when will be a LOT sooner than most people think is possible because the debt chart is exponential.

Don't sit around like a fool and do nothing right now and then be sorry and crying later on.  Your sorrow will be drowned out by that of hundreds of millions of others just like you.  Start taking positive action now while there is still time.  And for God's sake, push back hard on any and all efforts by the left to disarm us because once they have the guns you can expect the bad stuff to show up sooner rather than later.

Bob Prince tells the truth

Bob Prince was interviewed by Henry Blodget back in late January of this year.  You can watch the whole thing if you like but the important part is the 10-15 seconds that start at this point in the conversation.  Prince says that if your debt is in the hands of your enemy, they might try to use it as a weapon of leverage against you.  And so maybe its wise not to roll over that debt as it matures.   Sounds logical.   But then we hear the truth of the matter: we have to roll over the debt or there will be big trouble.

The fact that these assholes can sit there and say this with a straight face just annoys the shit out of me.  They clearly know we are running a debt Ponzi that there is no soft landing from.  But instead of telling the full truth and the implications and the correct defensive actions today for what must obviously happen in the not too distant future, they just sit there and talk around the elephant in the living room.

The fact that we racked up all of this debt in the past means that the lifestyle to which we have grown accustomed is a mirage.  We did not earn it, we borrowed it.  And when the debt can no longer be rolled over, which is inevitable at some point and likely driven by higher interest rates, our consumption must necessarily collapse.  The issue with this is that too many people are already on hard times and the coming austerity is going to slap them yet again, and hard.  They will finally get to the point of having nothing to lose and that's when things get dangerous.

The video is entitled, "The Economy Is Headed For '20 Years Of Ugliness' ".  I say that is true unless we the people do the right thing.  But what is the right thing?  We have AOC promising $100 trillion of spending on projects and programs.  We have many on the other side of the aisle laughing at her while promising more deficit spending, but just not quite so fast as the know nothing bartender congresswoman.  We have those in the federal reserve saying we can get by with careful management of the situation, etc.

It is almost too obvious for words at this point what the actual correct thing to do is but I might be the only person on the Internet saying it in so clear of terms.  So here it is once again.  First, acknowledge the root cause of all the problems.  Flush the noise.  It's not that difficult to get away from all the silly emotions if you just think about things the right way.  For example, with 9/11 there is so much silly debate about how the twin towers came down that I don't even talk to people about those buildings.  After all, they were hit by airplanes and so in the minds of many who know nothing about engineering, the government story might be right.  So I just focus on the building that collapsed into its own foot print at freefall speed without being hit by any airplane.  By focusing on WTC 7 we can just cut off 99% of the noise associated with the 9/11 debate.

In the case of economics and our society in general, there are 30 topics flying back and forth right now, but they all have one root cause which is that the herd cycles from conservatism to liberalism and back in predictable fashion and that the recent cycle into liberalism has now peaked. A major tenet of liberalism is consumption before production.   In other words, a debt based existence.  And so liberals put into place a fake money supply that not only applauded the acquisition of debt, but rewarded those who played along with it and put those who did not play along out of business.  The result is a global debt Ponzi which has been fueled by a fake and corrupt money supply.

The linked video's prediction of 20 years of ugliness sounds dire.  But it only has to happen if people continue to not understand the root cause as I have outlined it above.  To be clear, there is no avoiding a systemic collapse.  And that collapse will be no fun.  No hangover is any fun.  But if done properly, the hangover will be 2-3 years in length and then we could begin to move forward again.  The only way this lasts 20 years if we the people are stupid enough to let the complicit government control the wind down in order to protect their oligarch buddies from losing everything.  Japan was a good example of a Zombie economy which suffered for 3 decades of decline because the government was allowed to inflate away so much bad debt, all of which was eventually stolen from the purchasing power of the people through inflation.

The correct way to do it is to transition in an accelerated fashion from fake paper currency to real money.  By doing this, over the course of a few years you simultaneously default on the debts and you default on the savings of people who were dumb enough to store their life savings in fake paper assets.  You do this by introducing a parallel currency which is backed by gold in some way that is difficult or impossible to game.  I really like the idea of golden threads being woven into the currency.  In that way, the currency is simply the convenient container by which physical gold is traded within the economy.  The government issuance of the currency is thus no longer meaningful except as a promise that the weight and purity of the embedded threads of pure gold are as stated.  This cannot be gamed because it is just too easy to randomly sample the output of treasury bills.

But this is just part of the solution. In order to collapse the debt Ponzi quickly we have to get rid of fractional reserve banking.  You can still get credit, but not by expanding the currency supply.  Today if a bank wants to extend credit it is only limited on the amount that can be extended by a 10:1 fractional reserve rating.  This is easy to game as we found when Bear Stearns collapsed.  The forensic accounting found that organization was leveraged 36:1.

Yes, it is possible to get a bank loan without fractional reserve banking.  If someone deposits money at the bank in a certificate of deposit which has a contractually agreed time frame of it, the bank can create a portfolio of lend-able assets.  When loans are created, the total amount of loans at any time must not exceed the amount of money that has been deposited by customers of the bank.  This is how honest lending works and it never changes the money supply.  That's how it avoids the boom-bust cycle of fractional reserve lending.

If we don't do something like this then, yes, 20, 30, 40 years of shit economy (and probably war) are in our future just as soon as the global debt Ponzi collapses.

Anti-abortion film a "surprising" box office success

Everything is relative of course, but the news is reporting that the anti-abortion film called "Unplanned" is a "surprising box office success".   With only $8.6 mn in sales in the past 2 weeks I don't know how big an actual success this is financially, but it is definitely a success in terms of pushing awareness of conservative views about abortion. Just the fact that the paltry revenue of the film is being reported as a "surprising success" is a win in and of itself in today's "read the headlines and move on" society.

With that said, people usually don't go to the box office for this kind of docu-drama thing.  It is usually released directly to DVDs.  So that is in fact a success.  Also, the number of theaters it is being viewed at jumps by 50% in the coming weeks from 1000 to 1500.  So that is definitely another success.  There are no high dollar actors in this and no pricey CGI so it was probably hyper cheap to make (IMDB estimates the filming cost to be $6 million, a nothing burger in terms of production quality films that actually make it into theaters).  At the current revenue rate it might be possible to see this gross 35-40 million bucks all told (US, Europe, DVD, streaming revenues, etc.). You will know that it was a success if there are also adjunct sales like tee shirts and water bottles, etc.

While this might be surprising to many people, it fits in quite nicely with my long standing views that liberalism has peaked and the pendulum is now swinging, slowly at first, back toward conservatism.  This will not happen overnight.  We will not see peak conservatism return in my lifetime.  But all the signs suggest that it is up and coming now.

Such division has never been seen in the US since the revolution.

Folks we are watching history unfold before our eyes.  The appeal of mammon money is having less and less affect on people and it is causing division within our criminal government.  The Chitown cops are not known for their conservative nature but the conservative wave is affecting even the left, just as I said it likely would.

Everyone thought it was going to be over in Chicago once Smollett's gay pedo ring pals pulled the strings to keep him out of the hands of cops who might get him to go state's evidence.  They blew it.  They should have charged him and given him hand slap punishments.  But instead they cleared his record so he can go around saying he did no wrong.  That was a great strategy 5 years ago, but now it has the conservatives in Chitown PD publicly demanding the resignation of the Cook country states atty Kim Fox.  This is pretty big.  It means the cops aren't just going to accept the current outcome of smollett getting to play them for chumps in public.

The division you are seeing there is a microcosm.  Battle lines are being drawn and people are taking sides.  Yet the liberals still haven't gotten the message. AOC still thinks she's "in charge".  What a joke.  Well, please watch my seat while I go get another bag of popcorn and another soda.  Things are just going to get more and more fun around here as the liberals do more and more stupid things to try to stay king of the hill even after the herd as decided its time for a change.

Brigette Gabriel dispenses with fake political correctness.

There are many ways to handle your adversary, to keep them down, to take over the narrative, to take control.  One of these methods, which I have for many years been writing about is the use of fake political correctness by liberals against conservatives.  Conservatives tend to be straight thinking, straight talking people.  They have a point and they make it.  They do not beat around the bush or invoke emotional content into a discussion that is best served mainly by logic.  At the same time, conservatives are good people who truly care about doing right by the next guy; do unto others as you would have them do unto you is right out of the conservative handbook.

The liberals therefore created an effective weapon against the conservatives.  They made up fake labels, tied these labels to negative connotations and then publicly labeled any conservative who dared speak up in their own defense with these labels.  It didn't matter if the person deserved the label or not; simply applying the label in public had two levels of efficacy:
1: others would look at the person being labeled in a negative light.
2: the person himself would question his own right to stand up for himself.  Those who did not want to engage in a loud street fight over this labeling just avoided getting involved at all.  Bam! 95% of the conservatives left the fight right there.

For example, if you are not 120% for the gay/trans/queer agenda, cheering their every move then you are homophobic.  It means afraid of homos.  But the people being labeled were in no way afraid of homos!!  What they WERE afraid of was being labeled and cast into a negative light.  This is how the fake political correctness agenda weaponized human nature against the conservatives.  Why I have always been immune to its effects, I don't know.  But it was clear to me way back when what was happening and I have written about the link between liberalism and weaponized fake political correctness many times in posts like this one.

While the fake money system was on the rise, fake political correctness rose in locked step.  Careers were ruined by the labeling.  People lost their jobs.  They were unfairly humiliated in public.  It was a freak show of unfairness.  Years ago I wrote that fake political correctness will be a casualty of peak liberalism.  No where I have I seen this to be more true than in an epic smack down of a Muslim girl who was trying to use weaponized fake political correctness against a room full of people by complaining that Muslims are portrayed in a bad light with the implication that we are somehow being unfair to them (and should thus apologize, make way for them and heck, while we are at it, why not pay reparations of some kind...).

The essence is that while most of the Muslims are good, Brigette Gabriel points to statistics that indicate somewhere between 15 and 25% of the 1.2 billion Muslims in the world are radicalized and who want nothing short of the complete destruction of the west.  Gabriel walks through a good deal of the last century pointing out that all of the bad things that were done by people were done by a small portion of them while the "good" ones sat by and said/did nothing.  She made an excellent point that talking about "the good ones" is irrelevant because the good ones turned out to be irrelevant when the bad stuff was happening.

I think this brings up a very valid point.  I have written many times how there really are no "good"cops.  Why?  Because they all know other cops who aren't good yet nobody turns them in.  They do not police their own.  They just stand back and watch the unfair abuses occur.  So there you have it, a real honest and useful definition of what "the good ones" are.  In short, only those who police their own have any claim on being "good".  Said differently, "for evil men to accomplish their purpose it is only necessary that good men should do nothing.".  If evil men from your herd are out representing your herd, and you say nothing, do nothing then you are tacitly agreeing with them and supporting them with your silence.  Those from a particular herd can talk to others in their herd in ways that simply will not be accepting if spoken by an outsider.  If a black man is selling drugs on the corner and I walk up and say "hey my nigga, why don't you peddle that shit elsewhere", well, the shooting starts 20 seconds later for sure.  But if parents from the hood do that in enough force, the pusher moves on because of the peer pressure.  I don't make the rules; I'm just saying how it works.  Thus, if the "good" people don't police their bad element, the only thing outsiders can possibly do is paint the lot of them with the same brush.  Brigette, if you every happen to be ego surfing and you stumble upon this post, feel free to use this logic the next time you need to smack some political correctness fool down.

At the end of her powerful rant, Gabriel then calls attention to what really happened in the meeting - fake political correctness was used to try to passive aggressively attack the non-muslims in the room.  And she said what I have been saying people would begin to say: "it is time we take political correctness and throw it in the garbage where it belongs".
