New York is swirling the bowl.

Maybe I'm the only one who sees it but big cities are about to experience something that they are just not prepared for: mass exodus.  Let's start off with the basics.  Liberal leaning population thinks it's cool to cluster as tightly as possible downtown so that they are herding as closely to other herd members as possible.   If you see a guy out in the middle of nowhere on a big ranch, that's probably not a liberal.  It offends liberals to be distanced from the herd.  Conservatives on the other hand are comfortable in their / our own skin.  I can be around people if I need to but I'm generally just as happy alone.  Back in 2002 I bought a 38' yacht and went and lived on it in the Bahamas for 3+ months.  During that period I lined up friends and family to meet me here and then get dropped off there as I took a 750 mile cruise around the islands.  A bit more than half of the time I was alone and I was never lonely or sad or depressed for a single second.  Liberals cannot do that.  They can't be alone.

But as the winds shift conservative, people will adapt.  Whereas for the past 50 years every liberal on the planet wanted to be in a big coastal city, over the next 50 years you will see people moving out.  There will be many reasons for it.  Some will look at this recent pandemic experience and realize that they were completely out of control.  They will want to distance themselves from living so near so many other people. They will want to move further away from the police station.  Additionally, the big liberal states and cities will be the first to go bankrupt.  And as they do they will practice condominium economics on their citizens.  Illin' Noise has been doing it for a long time and so the rising tax rates made people like Mike Shedlock decide to move out.  Peter Schiff, Mike Maloney and many other financially aware people moved out of upscale places like CT to Puerto Rico of all places.  In this way they were off the mainland but close enough to hop back easily.  And PR is not subject to federal income tax.  In fact, they have put together a very low tax package to attract expats (and their bank accounts).  Smart move, PR.

Contrast that with NY where governor Andrew Cuomo is running the debt Ponzi into the ground.  In that link it says that NY state is thanking all covid volunteers who took paid leave from jobs in other states to go help out by providing them with an NY income tax bill.  Apparently if you are stupid enough to work in NY for more than 14 days then they think they own a piece of every wage you make.  Cuomo doesn't care how stupid he looks.  He just keeps repeating that unless he gets a federal bail out, New York is a fuckedstate.  When Trump wins again in Nov, there will be no bailouts forthcoming.  Trump will have 4 years to starve the liberal snake nests in the coastal states of the cash that they so badly need to keep their local debt Ponzis running.  They will cry and scream but Trump will be managing a depression and so he will trickle the cash out as slowly as possible with the express purpose of forcing regime change in those states just exactly as he might do by putting sanctions on a foreign country.  I will be zero surprised to even find terms like "sanctions" being used to refer to these kinds of actions taken by Trump in order to coerce compliance.

It is going to get very, very ugly at that point because the liberals will be left with very little choice but to either fight or be pinched like a ripe pimple.
