Humiliation is a major tool of herding behavior

In recent news, after calling Putin's policy "ridiculous", Elton John wanted to use his western superstar status to try to influence Putin's obvious political hostility toward homosexuality and gay rights.  Of course, even if Putin were interested in listening to him, all chances of a meeting were hopelessly lost once Elton made public statements about his intentions.  I mean, is he really that stupid?  Does he not understand that Putin is not going to be seen as being influenced by western corrupting forces from Hollywood? Putin's popularity is being boosted by the conservative wave that is sweeping the world and liberal icon Elton John thinks his is going to waltz in and be given a public forum for not only attacking Putin's conservative stance but also to push gay rights?

Instead of a meeting with Putin, Elton got publicly shamed in his arrogance by a couple of Russian hoaxsters who, after fooling him into thinking he was talking to Russian brass and giving him a chance to brag about it, immediately came forward and took full credit for making a fool of the western entertainment icon.  Gee Elton, swift move.  You really showed the world how rapidly the power of Hollywood superstar status has fallen off the edge of a cliff.  Only liberals are star struck.  Conservatives see them as just another member of the herd who happens to be rich and talented in their own way.  But in no way do real conservatives idolize or worship public figures. 

With the decline of liberalism will come the decline of Hollywood importance and salaries.  The same will be true of pro sports and other ridiculously overcompensated pockets of hero worship.  In liberal society these other people are uplifted and chased after while the family structure is left in decline.  As conservatism retakes the world, expect more and more young people to return to the view that their "hero" is actually their mom and dad.  You know, just like it used to be before the population was hypnotized by the glitter of Hollywood and TV-promoted stars of all kinds.
