Keeping perspective.

I recently went off on a well deserved rant about Obama's waste of 2 billion on the freaking Obamacare website.  This is an amount of money that most people cannot fathom.  We are so used to hearing about trillion dollar unpayable debts that people hardly blink or complain when government rips us off of another couple billion here and there.

But let's put this in perspective.  In an expected act of reduction in size of our overseas military, the Pentagon announced what is essentially the closing of 15 military bases in Europe.  Doing so only saves $500 million per year.  Think about it.  Think about the complexity and equipment and cost of leases, etc. etc. etc. of running a military base on foreign soil.  Multiply that by 15 and it still only amounts to $500 mn.

But the Obamacare website has cost $2 billion so far.  This seriously does not add up and thinking people need to wonder where the money really went (I'm quite sure that it is in fact gone).  This is the level of fraud that is now considered the norm by the con men running our country.
