I'm seeing more and more police being taken to task for being Nazi bastards who don't care about the law if it impedes with an even .000005% chance of getting arrest brownie points with the blue team.  Here's a lawsuit in the choke hold homicide done by police over fear that a man might be selling untaxed cigarettes.  That baby is for $75 million.  Don't tell me his family won't get paid, they will.  Maybe something less but it will not be "the department was acting within guidelines".  It will be big.  It will be 30, 40 million I bet.  Why?  Because the polls I have seen, even among upper middle class whites, say the cops were dead wrong.  I wonder how much cigarette tax revenue will have to be collected to make up for a massive lawsuit in a city where things are already beginning to fall apart.  The city either pays up or the riots will make Rodney King's riots look like a walk in Central Park.  In one article I read, the police officers and their boss will be named in the suit.  The accountability will finally come when cops can't hide behind The Shield for murder.  And yes, the coroner's office declared it a homicide. 

All around the country, people who would normally allow themselves to be pushed around are standing up to the cops and recording the whole thing on video.  Here's a case where police used threat of theft of a couple's child and delivery of said child to CPS if the occupants of the vehicle did not allow the cops to overstep their rights by forcing them to exit the vehicle.  These people are already "lawyered up" and they will win a significant payday for their troubles.  The new American lottery is becoming the act of getting stopped by police, refusing to comply with their unlawful requests and then filming the whole thing as control-crazy jackboots completely overstep their authority.

Here's another recent case where the cops broke a car window, TASERed an occupant in the passenger seat because he would not present ID when the car was pulled over for a simple seat belt violation.  Illin' Noise police say they are allowed to order people out of their car over a traffic stop.  I'm sure that they have this in their little rule book but now it is going to get overturned in a federal case and they will lose that little bit of jackbooted institutionalized terrorism that they have been using to push people around with.

In the not too distant past, the herd would have said "just comply, why not just comply?".  Things like "what do you have to hide" was passable logic back then.  Anyone who didn't comply would get zero sympathy and that means unfavorable treatment in court. But the mood of the herd is changing and these overtly liberal police tactics will be the casualty of the coming wave of conservatism and that is best case.  Worst case, the police fail to back down quickly enough and it results in a growing number of police being shot on the roadside by car occupants who come to the conclusion that their life is in danger and "it's him or me".  Obviously I am not calling for this.  But it's just as obvious that this is what is going to begin happening soon if the LEOs don't stop their Nazi tactics and right quick like a bunny at that.  The herd is simply done with the bullshit and the sooner the authorities realize this, the better off we will all be.
