Watson is right around the corner.

In this post (one of my most popular ever in terms of reader hits) I wrote that Watson is coming.

In this news release, IBM affirmed it and it will occur sooner than I expected.

Keep your eye on Watson.  It is going to be a game changer.  Watson is to Artificial Intelligence and natural human interface as the Internet is to email.  I caution people that government will be using this invention against us some day.  A politician with Watson Political Edition will be able to hypnotize the masses with his extreme apparent knowledge of any subject matter: history, science, medicine, you name it.  It will not be the man talking, it will be a bluetooth headpiece.

One day programmers will rule this planet.
