Government calls its own bluff on the shutdown.

For a couple weeks now we have had to endure fake drama regarding the government shutdown.  My view from the start was that it is nothing more than theater.

Today, "defense" secretary Chuck (Illuminati) Hagel pretty much called the whole charade off by telling "most" of the furloughed employees to come back to work.  Oh, it gets better.  Those who were out of work for a couple days will get back pay for the incident. 

I don't know about you, but when I get paid not to come to work I call it "vacation".   The whole thing is a ridiculous joke.  Think about it for a second.  Government threatening to self-shutdown is like a con man threatening to shut down his con game.  That's like the banking system threatening to collapse unless they get a massive ridiculous mind blowing cash injection. 

If only the government would partially shut down on a permanent basis!  If only we would cut our military spending by half or more.  If only we could get rid of all the black projects (i.e. those with no official funding source which the public is kept in the dark from "for national security" even though we the people paid for it all).  If only we could get rid of all the federal bureaucratic, add-nothing agencies which plague this nation.  What we could do with all the money saved!.  First and foremost, we could stop going deeper into debt.  How's that crazy idea for a start?


Sorry folks, but all this talk of shutting down the government is just another tactic of the con men.  There will be no substantive, sustained self directed shut down because it is not in the best interest of the big government lovers to do that.  This is more government budget theater.  The whole charade of making threats to shut the government down reminds me of these classic pictures from the 1974 hit comedy, "Blazing Saddles".



In one scene, the protagonist (played by Cleavon Little) blows into town as the new, highly anticipated sheriff.  The band starts playing as Cleavon rides into town.  To everyone's amazement in the hick town, Little rolls up to the welcome stage, steps up and starts making an acceptance for his new job as sheriff.  He gets a little way into it and the people first look at him funny and then everyone pulls out a gun and aims it at him:


 

In response, Cleavon draws his own gun and pretends to take himself hostage:



The hilarity continues as he alternately plays both the hostage and the hostage taker in order to fool the sheeple and to distract them from the fact that they disapprove of him.  In fact, before it’s over he has everyone sympathizing with him. At one point a woman who was against him only a few minutes before cries out "Isn't anyone going to help that poor man"?













The scene closes as Little, having removed himself from harm's way by abducting himself into a building, gives himself a big hug and with a toothy smile declares, "Oh, baby, you are sooo talented.  And they are so dumb!".




Despite what should be an obvious theatrical scam, most Americans are all caught up in the shutdown news, completely oblivious to the fact that this is just another tactic to distract people from the sad state of affairs that the nanny state has now brought us to.
